I don't hear... ooooooh, wait!

Nice version of the song, but... Where's the volume?! It's waaaaaaaay too soft!

Ruddy88 responds:

yeah sorry bout that, volume on flstudio was turned right down when i exported it i think.

More please.

One can only bow to this.

PAIN!

That's what I'm talking about!

Yeah, you nailed it there. The equalising did the trick, the overall sound's even more balanced now. Clipping's gone, or has at least been minimalised. Ace!

Yodamanjaro responds:

Thank you!

Nice!

Nice piano piece, you've defenitally know your way around a piano. ;-) Try adding some reverb to the entire thing though, it sounds a bit unnatural this way.

Athius responds:

Strangely, my piano looks just like a keyboard. Kind of like the other instruments. And about the reverb... I'm quite new to the keyboard, as I just got it this christmas and I just recently learned how to add effects. I haven't been much into them. I was planning on buying one of them pedals for my keyboard, but I haven't yet made up my mind. We'll see what will happen.

Weird...

It's a bit weird sounding, which is good... However, the piano and the synth are both sticking out like a sore thumb. The synth because of it's volume compared to the rest of the instruments, the piano because it's A) constantly playing the same very short loop and B) sounds like a VERY crappy midi piano. (Whether or not that was your intention, try to find a better one. If you want this kind of sound, synth piano's from SNES roms are great and will sound better than this one.)

Greatfaith responds:

I'll lower the volume of the synth. And I'll change make the piano different from time to time, so it doesn't repeat the same thing the whole time.
Thanks for the feedback :)

Sounds good, but...

I'm waiting for a bass to join in! That's basically all this song needs: a nice, easy, walking bass to finish it all up.

Iplaygames responds:

Good point.... thank you

*bangs his head to the music*

\m/ This needs to be played abnormally loud! It's craving for some vocals though.

headbang87 responds:

I'm glad you like it, and I'm proud that you bang your head \../(O.O)\../ Yeah vocals would be nice, I'm actually thinking about the right text to shout. Thanks for the good review and vote

Hypnotic!

Hypnotic song. I do think it's quite weird you combined cool samples with such standard FruityLoops drums, without really putting effort into the drum section. Try to beef that one up!

Hadriani responds:

I didn't use anything that isn't standard in FLP. I got the synths from the 3x Osc.
I made the weirdish bass sound by putting a bit of pogo effect on a presampled string and linking the filter cutoff on a "Scratch FX" sample. You know, one of those hip-hop sounds.

Cool

I didn't really get the seashore sounds that were in there, but the rain, thunder and building suspense nailed the feeling of a storm keeping me awake.

HeadCrabGary responds:

thanks amigo, i put the seashore sounds in there simply because when i think of a thunderstorm i generally think of the sea too, maybe it's just the pirate in me =P

Whoa!

My tip for you guys is to put on headphones with a metronome while playing, you have lots of problems sticking to the right rhythm. Not a biggie though, it's something you learn from recording more, I went through the same problems (and I'm a singer, so you can imagine what that does :P). Rockin' song though! Sounds original, can't wait for a version with vocals!

One day, the lair will open its doors and the beast will be released. Until then, inside my shell I'll wait...
